Body found near Jack Wright Pass in Douglas County identified as missing Colorado man
MINDEN — A Colorado man, reported missing in February of this year, has been identified as the deceased person found last month by a hiker northwest of Jack Wright Pass in Douglas County.
The deceased subject was positively identified through the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office as Lance Scott Durkac, 45, from Boulder, Colorado, said DCSO Undersheriff Ron Elges. The man's family has been notified.
On Feb. 20, 2020, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a missing person in the area of Jack Wright Pass and State Route 208.
On April 28, 2020, a deceased male was located in the mountain area northwest of Jack Wright Pass, known locally as American Flats.
The deceased person was also the subject of the missing person investigation from February 2020. It was determined his death was of non-suspicious nature.
