Carson City students reach test growth targets, celebrate with activities and raffles
Several students at Seeliger and Empire Elementary schools in Carson City celebrated last week for reaching MAP Test growth targets by sliming teachers and earning raffles. Assessment data was tracked from Fall 2020 to Spring 2021, and where growth targets or goals were met, students earned raffle tickets for prizes or were selected to slime their teacher.
Raffle prizes varied from light-up scooters and tablets to lava lamps, books, Legos, board games and art kits.
At Empire Elementary School, Sean Marler, an agent with Country Financial, contributed a check for $1,500 to cover the cost of the raffle prizes. See story here.
