Dayton, NV – On April 3, 2026, at approximately 1:00 PM, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office

Investigations Division received information regarding a child abuse investigation initiated by the Storey County Sheriff’s Office. The incident was determined to have occurred within Lyon County, at which point the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit assumed responsibility for the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest 38-year-old Dayton resident Adam Wilson on one count of Felony Physical Abuse of a Child.

Wilson was transported to and booked into the Lyon County Jail. Bail has been set at $75,000.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office takes all reports of child abuse seriously and remains committed to aggressively investigating these cases and holding offenders accountable.
