Gardnerville woman jailed in connection to Douglas County burglaries
A 41-year-old Gardnerville woman has been arrested in connection to a string of burglaries over the past year, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Bridgett Blair was arrested March 6 pursuant to an East Fork Justice Court warrant. She has been charged with possession of stolen property.
This came after DCSO deputies conducted an investigation, which included a search warrant of Blair's residence, in which numerous piece of stolen property were recovered. The search warrant also led to the recovery of a number of stolen firearms from another location.
All of the victims whose property has been recovered thus far have been notified. This investigation is continuing and it is possible that more burglaries will be cleared as this case moves forward, said DCSO Sgt. Jeff Schemenauer.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office advises residents to remain diligent with common home security measures. The use of proper outdoor lighting along with video doorbells and cameras make your home safer from unwanted guests. Getting to know your neighbors and locking your doors when not home remain the best security for your neighborhood.
