The Greenhouse Project’s 18th annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale and festivities brought spring gardeners to Green Central at Carson High School on Saturday, providing everything needed to begin a vegetable garden or to landscape, with an array of vegetables, perennials and annuals, as well as native plants, hardy for the local environment.

Everything is grown on-site by The Greenhouse Project staff, AmeriCorps and CHS students using organic practices.
Vendors sold various items suitable for gift-giving many with an emphasis on gardening, garden art and nature. Honed by Jones helped sharpen knives for those needing touch ups. Other vendors include Monarch Society, Bee City, Eagle Valley Middle School’s Green Biz Kids, Jenna’s Upcycled Clothing and Goods and Shared Roots Reno. There was also face painting for children and adults, too.

The Greenhouse Project’s Shopify is now active with limited plant availability for now. Warm season plants will not be available until the in-person sale, when anything remaining will be offered on Shopify beginning Wednesday, May 13.
