Carson City Soroptimist highlights 2021 'Women Helping Women' honoree Dr. Betsy Card

As part of a series of profiles, Soroptimist International of Carson City is pleased to introduce our next 2021 “Women Helping Women” honoree, Dr. Betsy Card, who is among eight local women to be honored at Feb. 18.

Dr. Card is a Radiologist who has been serving our community for over 25 years. She is one of the few radiologists in the Great Basin that are fellowship-trained in mammography.

Dr. Card has developed a remarkable rapport among her patients given her knowledge and willingness to take the necessary time to thoughtfully support and respond to their questions and concerns. When some can find the medical environment rushed and disconnected at times, Dr. Card has provided those she cares for with a sympathetic and comfortable environment.

By sharing her wonderful sense of humor, her expertise, and encouraging words, Dr. Card is empowering women as they proceed with their necessary medical care. Thank you, Dr. Card for being a trusted medical partner with patients who often times feel nervous and unsure about the procedures and treatments they need to complete.

Dr. Card is sponsored by our Empower Sponsor, Tahoe Carson Radiology in recognition of her dedicated service to our community and her compassionate and supportive care.
