Carson City Fire Department called to reported fire at St. Charles hotel, dog rescued

UPDATE 1:02PM: A dog was revived after being found unconscious and rescued after suffering smoke inhalation and was taken to a veterinarian hospital due to a small fire at St. Charles Hotel, said Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon. The fire was contained to one room and was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.

Carson City Fire Department was called early Tuesday afternoon to a reported structure fire at the St. Charles Hotel, in the 300 block of South Carson Street.
Firefighters were called at around 12:18 p.m. regarding smoke coming from the hotel portion of the building, which also houses The Fox Brewpub. Firefighters arriving on scene reported some smoke but have not located a fire of origin, according to a battalion chief on scene.
Traffic is being re-routed around the building, on Carson Street, which is closed. Traffic has also been shut down on Curry Street between Fifth and Musser streets. Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area.
