Merry Christmas from all the kitties and volunteers at Carson City's Catmandu
Catmandu rescues homeless and abandoned cats in the Carson City area; spays and neuters them; and provides TLC, sanctuary, food and medical care until a forever home can be found.
In the spirit of love at Christmas, Catmandu recently rescued twelve kittens from Battle Mountain and Winnemucca. These kittens were at death’s door and with no facilities to help in these communities, we felt compelled to step up and do the right thing: save these animals.
Please consider adopting a rescued animal. It can be a win-win for you and your new furry friend. If you have room in your home and your heart, there is a kitty waiting to fill that empty spot. Kittens are always the first choice for most people, but please also consider the senior cat who lived its entire life with a family and for a variety of reasons was dropped off at Catmandu. We have several seniors who share this story. They already have good house manners and make lovely companions.
This year Catmandu has taken in more homeless cats and kittens than ever before. There are countless homeless and abandoned cats trying to survive on the street. Two cats that aren’t spayed or neutered can produce hundreds of kittens in a very short time (see attached chart). Please don’t add to the problem: spay or neuter your pet.
If you can’t adopt please consider volunteering or donating funds to help care for our furry residents. Have a Meowy Christmas and Happy New year!
