Fabulous 4-H Fabric and Rummage Sale

Clean Out That Attic or Basement: Carson City 4-H Leaders Council is collecting usable, clean rummage and fabric, craft and sewing notions for the Annual Fabulous Fabric and Rummage Sale.

Items can be dropped off at the Carson City Cooperative Extension, 2621 Northgate Lane, Suite 15 anytime during the week, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. from now until the sale date.

Drop off dates in 2015 are January 17 and 24 and February 13 at Fuji Exhibit Hall from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The event takes place February 14 and 15, 2015 at Fuji Park Exhibit Hall. Help our 4-H’ers achieve their higher education goals and get a tax deduction . It’s a terrific win/win. Call Jim or Sandy at 887-2252 for more information.

UPDATE 4:50PM: The fire at the landfill has been extinguished, according to Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Jon Pedrini.
The fire was around 100 foot by 40 foot and knocked down by firefighters and work crews at the scene. There were no threats to structures or wildland.

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, Capitol City Gun Club in Carson City, NV will host a Sporting Clays Sub-Gauge Shoot from 9:00am to 4:30pm. UPDATE 2:50PM: A teen who crashed his mountain bike in Ash Canyon late Saturday morning was lifted out of the canyon by a Washoe County Sheriff's RAVEN helicopter and then transferred to a Care Flight air ambulance after being rescued by Carson City firefighters.
