Miss Representation Screening at WNC
The Capital Branch, American Association of University Women (AAUW) is partnering with Western Nevada College (WNC) to present a screening of Miss Representation, an award-winning documentary film showing how gender stereotyping in the media impacts both men and women. The screenings will be held at the Marlette Hall on the Carson City, WNC campus from 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 18 and from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20.
AAUW, Capital Branch is celebrating 70 years of advocating for equity for women and girls in Carson City and surrounding communities. Membership in AAUW is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
