Thanksgiving Turkey Drop for Carson City, Douglas families happening Thursday and Friday at Max Casino
The Max Casino in Carson City has partnered with the Salvation Army to host the annual turkey drop to benefit Carson City and Douglas County families in need. The event is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., this Thursday and Friday, Nov. 18-19, 2021.
This year the Salvation Army is seeking donations of Thanksgiving turkeys and non-perishable food items that will assist the local community. Each year hundreds of needy families depend on the Salvation Army for their generous donations.
The Turkey Drop was expanded to two days, after originally schedule for Friday, Nov. 19 only, giving the community more time to donate.
Those who would like to get involved can simply drop off food donations, this Thursday, Nov. 18 and Friday, November 19, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Max Casino located downtown Carson City at 900 South Carson Street.

Salvation Army will be giving the turkeys to pre-selected families on Nov. 22-23.
