Nevada Day Show call for artists announced, deadline is Oct. 21

October 21, 2023 - 10:00am The Nevada Artists Association Art Gallery has announced the Nevada Day Show, call for artists.
When: Entries accepted, Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023.
Time: 10am to 1pm. No late entries.
Location: Nevada Artists Association Art Gallery, 449 W. King Street, Carson City, NV
Entry fees: Limit 3 entries per person. Must be 13 years or older.
Members - 1st piece $10, 2nd piece $5, 3rd piece $5
Non-Members - 1st piece $20, 2nd piece $10, 3rd piece $10
Any new member joining on this day will be considered a member, pay member fee rates and will be a member through 2024. Membership information can be found at: http://nevadaartists.org/membership/
Following the theme is optional but encouraged. Cash awards and ribbons will be awarded for Best of Show, Spirit of Nevada Award, the Pat Holub Award and to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category.
Honorable Mentions will receive ribbons.

There must be at least 3 entries in a category for judging. Any category not receiving three entries will be combined into the “Other” category and if more than 3, will be judged as a category.
The public will be invited to vote for People’s Choice for the duration of the show and the winner will be awarded cash and a ribbon. The winning People’s Choice entry will be displayed for sale through the New Year’s Show if not sold during the Nevada Day Show.
Please send photos of each entry to naacarsoncity@gmail.com anytime up until Oct. 20. Please give file names for photographs of your entries that include the title of the piece and your name. For example: River in the Desert by Jack Spratt.
All entries MUST be for sale. Unless sold, entries must remain for the duration of the show. NAA collects a 25 percent commission on entries sold.
Judging will take place on Sunday, Oct. 22 by 3 judges. Winners will be announced on social media, through emails and in CarsonNow.
The Reception and Awards Presentation will be Sunday, Nov. 5 from 2-4pm. Light refreshments will be served and everyone is invited.

If you don’t have access to a computer there will be a limited number of entry forms available at show change.
Please make sure all entries intended to be hung have a wire for hanging with taped ends and felt or plastic bumpers where the entry will come in contact with the wall. Saw tooth hangers will not be accepted. Your name, the title of the entry and the price must be on the back of each entry. The Show Committee reserves the right to reject entries not in compliance with the rules and regulations.
This show will open Oct. 21 and run through Dec. 24. The Gallery hours for this show will be 12-4pm, closed Mondays. The Gallery will be closed on Nov. 23 and Dec. 25-Jan. 1, 2024. Pick up for unsold items from this show will be December 30, 2023 which is also show change for the Member’s-only New Year’s Show which will open to the public on January 2, 2024.
