Hole-in-One Winner claims car sponsored by Carson City Toyota
According to the National Hole-in-One Registry, the average person’s odds of making a hole-in-one is 12,500 to 1. Even more rare of an occurrence is making a hole-in-one during a golf tournament with a grand prize of a brand-new car, sponsored by Carson City Toyota!
Amazingly, Deke Monegan, achieved such a feat earlier this summer! Adding yet another layer of incredible odds, Monegan has been an employee of Capital Ford, the other half of the Campagni Auto Group, for almost six years.
For almost four decades, Carson City Toyota has proudly supported a variety of charitable golf events, including countless hole-in-one competitions. In all their years sponsoring these types of competitions, they’ve never actually had someone claim the grand prize.
“It’s pretty amazing,” says Jeff Campagni, General Manager of Carson City Toyota. “We always enjoy participating and supporting in these types of fundraisers for the community, as well as sending our staff to participate. This was just one incredible shot.”
The tournament was held over Father’s Day weekend and Deke, the grand prize golfer, was happy to participate when his co-workers needed another team member.
“I just love to golf; I go all the time. This was incredible though. The guys (my coworkers) started going nuts,” said Monegan. “I’m just thrilled. I commute from Dayton to work every day, so this couldn’t have worked out better.”
Congratulations to Deke on your amazing achievement and your new ride, sponsored by Carson City Toyota!
