Iraq War veteran, Nevada Homeland Security advisor featured at Nevada State Library event
The Nevada State Library in Carson City will host its monthly Brown Bag Lunch Series meeting in September with guest Caleb Cage, Nevada's Chief Homeland Security advisor on Tuesday, Sept. 11 from noon to 1 p.m.
Cage will talk about his recently published book "Desert Mementos." This collection of loosely connected short stories are set during the early stages of the Iraq War and offers similarities in the respective desert landscape of Iraq and Nevada and offers perspective of the different cultures.
Cage is a Reno native and veteran of the U.S. Army. He is a graduate of West Point and served in Iraq from 2002 to 2007.
The Brown Bag Lunch Series happens every second Tuesday of the month at the Nevada State Library, 100 North Stewart Street room 110. The public is invited. See the flier above.
