Carson City chapter of Parents of Addicted Loved Ones offers meetings, family support
During the last year Carson City organizers have continued to have Parents of Addicted Loved Ones, also known as PAL, meetings on Tuesday nights, 6 p.m. on Zoom. PAL offers Education/Support for those dealing with a family members addiction.
On Tuesday, July 27, we will have a guest speaker, Mike Speakman, author of "The Four Seasons of Recovery for Parent of Alcoholics and Addicts." His topic will be relapse and he will share his testimony and answer questions.
PAL meets every week at 101 locations across the United States. PAL provides continuing education and support, at no charge, for parents trying to save a son or daughter from addiction to alcohol or drugs.
PAL can also help spouses who are forced to act like the parent to their addicted partner who is abusing alcohol or drugs. (All other family members and friends over 18 are also welcome to attend.)
You are Not Alone
By attending our meetings, you will learn proven ways to help your loved one have a permanent recovery from addiction. You will also be able to give and receive support from others who are facing the same challenges you are. Everyone is welcome.
