Carson City's Catmandu introduces their Cat of the Week: Sterling
Are you looking for the perfect cat? Look no further. You will find him at Catmandu. His name is Sterling. Approximately 2 years old, Sterling is handsome, sweet and affectionate. He is very laid-back; good with people, most cats and even cat-friendly dogs.
Sterling is a cat of few words with a mysterious past. He arrived one day at a home in Wellington, asked to come inside and make himself at home. Unfortunately, the lady he chose was unable to bring him in and keep him, so he lived outside on her hay bales. With all the predators in the area, it became a very dangerous situation. We were so relieved when a space opened up and we could get him to safety at Catmandu.
A handsome short-haired silver tabby, Sterling makes friends quickly and will “stick to you like gum on your shoe.” He appears to be a former biscuit maker as he loves to knead when he gets attention. Sterling would make a great indoor companion for someone who has lots of time and love to give this sweet kitty.
He is neutered, has updated vaccines, microchipped and ready for his forever home. If you would like to meet this very special boy, please visit him this weekend at Catmandu. We are open Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1829 Brown Street.
Catmandu is a cage-free non-profit cat rescue, adoption center and sanctuary. We currently have over 80 cats waiting for homes. If you have room in your heart and home for one of our sweet kitties, please consider adoption, or if you would like to help by volunteering or by making a much-needed donation, please go to: https://catmanducc.org. We appreciate your helping us continue to care for Carson City's orphaned, homeless, and abandoned kitties. Meow means thank you.
