Farm to Market Prints at Comma Coffee Backseat Gallery
New “Farm to Market” series of original prints, by local artist, Carol Brown, opens June 2nd, at Comma Coffee, 213 South Carson St, in historic downtown Carson City, across from the Sate Legislature Building. The public is invited to a free reception with the artist, in the Backseat Gallery, Wednesday, June 7, 2017, 5-7 p.m. The exhibition continues through June 29.
The 3rd & Curry Street Farmer’s Market in Carson City inspired Carol to create these images based on her experiences, growing up on a farm.
“I associate hard work with farm life and today I work in my studio creating original hand-colored, relief prints, hand-made paper, and handmade books. Working in the art studio is fun. If I can’t grow fruits and vegetables, I can draw and print them. I will be selling my art at the 3rd & Curry Street Farmer’s Market in Carson City during the summer market."
