Service Dogs and Your Business: Everything you need to know from the professionals held Wednesday May 24
What to do when a service dog is not a service dog and owner insists on bringing dog in the business? What rights do service dogs in training have in the state of Nevada? What about employee allergies or fear of dogs? How should we interact with service dog teams, and what are the differences between services dogs, therapy dogs and emotional support animals?
All of these questions and more will be answered when you join two professional service dog trainers, Kendall and Chandler Brown, as they discuss laws and regulations pertinent to service dogs, and how best to support your staff and our community when interacting with service dog teams.
The discussion is free to the public and will be held in the Executive Conference Room of the Carson City Library at 900 N. Roop St. from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday May 24.
Discussions will include:
- An overview of service dogs within the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Questions businesses may ask of service dog teams
- Examples of ADA tasks
- Business/staff rights
- Customer rights
- Accessibility resources and apps
