Carson City Leadership class finishes $70K improvement project at Eagle Valley Children’s Home
The Carson City Leadership Institute Class of 2022 raised more than $70,000 for the Eagle Valley Children's Home, nearly tripling their original funding goal of $25K. The 15 students of the Class of 2022 used the funds to improve the residential program’s outdoor patio and add a new sensory garden for residents and visitors.
Eagle Valley Children’s Home is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides a residential option for Nevada children and adults who are intellectually and physically disabled, needing specialized care and treatment.
The Leadership Class of 2022’s improvement project fundraising goal was exceeded with the help of major donors including:
— Dayna Lynn Ahern Foundation and Ahern Family
— Black Pine Construction
— Association of General Contractors, Construction Leadership Council
— Home Depot Foundation
— Trex Company
— Hop and Mae Adams Foundation
