Guest Column: New residential and retail building in Carson City takes shape
Check out the detail elements at the four story retail and residential masterpiece at 308 North Curry Street in Carson City. The real story about this building lies in its historical accuracy to late 19th century construction.
The owners of the building, the Hop and May Adams Foundation have gone to great lengths to make this building resemble a very special an American Victorian house of great integrity and stature. I'd suggest that you check out every window, door and roof line to see how the designer has created what will soon be one of Carson City's best landmarks.
The building will soon be a hub of retail, living and dining activity. There will be very upscale living quarters in 308 North Curry.
Congratulations to Robert Darney on his fine and authentic design. Thanks to the Adams Foundation, under the leadership of Mr. Neighbors for their relentless pursuit of perfection in the tedious construction of this building. I think the gravity and seriousness of this gift to the people of Carson City speaks for itself.
