Reno area homeless, unhoused documentary to be shown in Carson City; discussion to focus on capital city issues
The capital city community is welcome to attend the feature-length documentary, "A City in Crisis," on March 2 at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Carson City. The documentary focuses on how the Reno-area has grappled with growth, housing and homelessness over the past two decades.
Producer Bob Conrad says. “We take an unfiltered look at what officials have said and what people impacted by their decisions have experienced.”
Co-sponsor of the event, Night Off the Streets, Inc., hopes insights from the documentary can help guide Carson City's citizens and public officials on ways to best manage the city's unhoused.
Discussions before and after the showing will focus on what can be done in the Carson City community to help the unhoused, says Jodi Miller, NOTS Center Manager.
Doors open at 3:30 p.m. the event begins at at 4 p.m. St. Peter's Episcopal Church is located at 314 N. Division St., Carson City.
