You can afford health care for your employees or yourself depending on income levels
. It is an understatement that there has been much debate about the cost of health care.
It’s an important debate and now there is some relief at hand for employers and individuals that feel healthcare is as necessary as car or home insurance. Even the young and healthy are subject to accidents or illness and will need adequate health care.
Health care should not be an option and it should be affordable. We are pleased to announce that through the Access to Healthcare Network (AHN), employers may be able to afford this important perk to their employees based on salary paid. Individuals, too, may have Access to Healthcare if they qualify.
Access to Healthcare Network is a comprehensive network of hospitals and primary, specialty and ancillary health care providers generously offering their services to the uninsured at a reduced fee. The Network provides uninsured Nevada residents access to professional health care at a reduced rate while providing timely compensation for providers enrolled in the Network and is not an insurance plan. Instead, it is an affordable alternative for those who do not qualify for public programs and are underinsured.
AHN members pay a small monthly membership fee which provides members with reduced hospital rates, discounted healthcare and a care coordinator to advocate for their needs. Members must meet income guidelines. Example: A single employee must not make more than $26,000 and a family of four not more than $53,000.
For many employers, providing comprehensive health benefits is unrealistic. Whether you represent a small or large business, AHN can provide you with the solution for overcoming the challenge of offering affordable health benefits. All employees are eligible to join AHN regardless of employment status, age or health history. Unlike other programs, AHN’s discount benefits have no waiting periods, medical exclusions (pre-existing conditions) or deductibles. There are no limits on usage.
AHN has been operating successfully in Reno using Renown and St. Mary’s and has just signed agreements with Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
