This Saturday the Carson City Moose Lodge 2709 and the Blue Bull will be hosting a fundraising event to support Moose charities and local community project. Come to the Blue Bull from Noon to 3:00 and enjoy some grilled brats and 2 draft beers for just a $10 ticket. The tickets can be purchased from any Moose member or at the door. The Blue Bull is located in downtown Carson City at 107 E Telegraph Street.

Western Nevada College is pleased to announce that nearly 100 students have qualified for the 2022 Summer Dean’s List.

To earn this recognition during the summer session, 94 students attained a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and completed six units of classes or more. Students achieving the academic honor are:

Singer songwriter Tim Goldsmith will join host Brother Dan Palmer for an afternoon of music, chat, and storytelling as the host interviews Goldsmith about his career and upcoming appearances. The show streams on Mondays from the Bank Saloon in Carson City and gives local audiences an up-close and personal look at local performers.

As Northern Nevada residents make plans to enjoy the end of summer, the Nevada Highway Patrol asks that you make sure those plans include alternatives to driving under the influence. From August 24 through Sept. 7, law enforcement agencies participating in Joining Forces will be on the lookout for the dangerous driving behaviors of impaired drivers.
