To help celebrate National Bike Month, Muscle Powered assembled a list of Carson City leaders, advocates and local dignitaries for its annual ride to showcase downtown Carson City and to bring awareness of the benefits of bicycle pedaling, no matter the skill level.

The newest bike trail was recently completed along South Carson Street as part of the reconstruction of Carson Street between Fifth Street and the Highway 50 turnoff to Tahoe featuring a multi-use trail allowing bicyclists to safer pedal to the downtown.

Information on Carson’s many trails can be found here.

Among those present were Mayor Lori Bagwell, City Manager Nancy Paulsen, Supervisors Lisa Schuette and Stacey Giomi along with management staff of Carson City Parks and Recreation and Public Works, as well as board members of Muscle Powered and other bicycle enthusiasts.
