The countdown is on! With just one week remaining in its kickoff raffle, the Northern Nevada Dream Center is asking the community to help put as many local kids as possible on brand-new bikes this Christmas.
This year, the Dream Center is launching its first Jingle Bell Bike Giveaway, providing children throughout the community with their very own new bike and helmet.
Every $100 donated sponsors one bike and helmet for a local child and earns the donor one entry to win one of four Reno Aces suite packages donated by Greater Nevada Mortgage. Each winner will receive four suite seats behind home plate, food and drinks, and a parking pass for the Thursday, Sept. 10 Reno Aces game.
Sponsor 5+ Bikes and Take a Shot at the First Pitch
Those who sponsor 5 or more bikes will also be entered into a special drawing for the chance to take the mound at Greater Nevada Field and throw out the first pitch on behalf of the Northern Nevada Dream Center at the Sept. 10 game.
“There’s just something special about a kid getting their very own bike,” said Susan Sorenson, Founder and Executive Director of the Northern Nevada Dream Center. “We want to fill Christmas with a whole lot of bikes, helmets and smiling kids this year. Every $100 helps us make that happen.”
The idea for the Jingle Bell Bike Giveaway came from Dream Center staff member and avid rider Mike Santos.
“Some of my best memories are on a bike, and I wanted local kids to have the chance to make those kinds of memories too,” Santos said. “There’s nothing quite like getting your own bike. I can’t wait to see the kids’ faces when they get theirs this Christmas.”
After four years of providing toys to local children at Christmas, the Dream Center is changing things up this year by focusing its Christmas effort on new bikes and helmets.
$100 = 1 Bike + 1 Helmet + 1 Raffle Entry
$500 = 5 Bikes + 5 Helmets + 5 Raffle Entries + First-Pitch Drawing
The raffle closes Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, with winners drawn that day. The Reno Aces game is Thursday, Sept. 10 at 6:05 p.m.
