The 4Cs, Carson City Contributors Club “giving group,” held their seventh meet-up in July 2026 whereby the SISPA (Stewart Indian School Preservation Alliance) was honored to receive the donations from the participants’ vote. The 4Cs is a collective group of citizens who care about each other and our Northern Nevada community non-profits, resulting in a combination of community building and philanthropy!
The premise behind the meet-ups is to give back. The model is unique and simple; bring $25 cash (or check) and nominate a registered non-profit in Northern Nevada. Three nominations are then randomly drawn from the hat. The nominating party is then asked to share why they support the organization and any information they can share with the group. (You do not need to be affiliated with the non-profit that you are nominating.) After the informal presentations, we all vote. The votes are counted, and a winner is determined. Checks are then filled in, cash is counted, and arrangements are made to deliver the total.
Interested parties do not need to attend to contribute. The group has a number of “silent contributors”, that do not vote or nominate, but have pledged to support the group’s chosen recipient. One long-distance silent contributor, in addition, works for a company that matches their quarterly contribution.
Please tune in, 7 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, on 95.1 FM, KNVC.org local radio where our quarterly recipient will be featured in a spotlight interview on Josh Hobson’s radio station segment “Around Town with Josh.” A 4Cs representative will also give an update.
The next 4Cs meet-up will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at the Carson Mall in Carson City, Nevada. All are welcome. The meet-up starts promptly at 6:00pm, with sign-up starting at 5:45pm (please be timely), and lasts less than one hour.
