Carson High School was host to Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak, who joined students and teachers Thursday in recognition of national Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month.

The governor issued a formal proclamation declaring February as CTE Month in Nevada. He emphasized the important role that CTE programs play in the community.

CTE Month affords high school programs an opportunity to demonstrate how CTE makes students college and career ready, preparing them for high-wage, high-demand career fields.

More than 1,700 of Carson High School’s 2,240 students are enrolled in CTE courses.
