UPDATE 7:25AM: USA Parkway at Innovation Way has reopened to limited traffic following the earlier closure caused by a water main break, according to Storey County in a news release.

Traffic is currently flowing in both directions using the southbound lanes, with one lane of travel in each direction.

Motorists should be aware of the following traffic conditions:
• Traffic is open in both directions using the southbound lanes.
• Only one lane of travel is available in each direction.
• Northbound lanes remain closed at this time while repair work continues.
• Drivers should expect delays and proceed with caution through the area.

Crews continue working to repair the water main and restore normal traffic operations. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, remain alert for workers and equipment, and allow extra travel time.

UPDATE: As of 6 p.m. Tuesday evening the Nevada Highway Patrol reports that USA Parkway (State Route 439) is closed in both directions between Sydney Drive and Norway Drive.

This is a due to a water leak. There is no estimated time for when the road will be re-opened. NHP has advised that one lane in each direction is expected to be open within three to four hours. Please use caution while traveling in this area.

There is no through access on USA Parkway between Interstate 80 and Highway 50, and the closure may be long-term while repairs are completed.

Motorists should plan for significant traffic impacts:

— No through access on USA Parkway between Interstate 80 and Highway 50.

— Alternate routes are required; expect longer travel times.

— Access to the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center from Interstate 80 is still possible; however, through traffic from Highway 50 to Interstate 80 is not possible.
