Carson City District Attorney Garrit Pruyt said that investigations into Sunday’s kidnapping arrest are ongoing; however, additional criminal complaints have been filed against Carson City resident Katryna “Katie” Bell who is accused of taking multiple children against their or their parents’ will. 

According to Pruyt, Bell is facing four counts: 

  • Two counts of kidnapping of a minor 
  • One count of attempted kidnapping of a minor 
  • One count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor  

Pruyt said that as investigations continue this week and possibly into next week, charges could be added or altered depending on the information collected from victims and witnesses. 

At Bell’s arraignment tomorrow afternoon, she will be formally charged with the four counts. At Bell’s bail hearing which occurred this morning, Tuesday Sept. 16, 2025, her initial bail was increased from $25,000 to $75,000.
