Carson City School District will host its quarterly Community Connections event this Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Carson High School in the library. The district’s Career and Technical Education program and Western Nevada College (WNC) will lead the event.
The interactive discussion about career pathways — the educational opportunities that take students from high school to college and into living-wage career opportunities — will examine existing and potential programs, their alignment with employer needs and where gaps may exist.
The presentation will also explore ideas and opportunities to strengthen the pathway and pipeline to high-demand careers that contribute to economic stability and resilience.

Enjoy a light dinner (first come, first served) from 5:30-6:00 p.m. There is no cost for the event. The information session focused on Career Pathways will be from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The district looks forward to a productive evening and to collaborate with parents and families in support of every child’s success.
The purpose of these quarterly Community Connections meetings with school officials is to accumulate feedback from community members on how the school district’s updated strategic plan is performing and suggest ideas and systems to better help meet the goals, objectives and strategies of the district’s plan.
Individuals planning to attend are welcome to share this invitation with colleagues, friends and neighbors who might be interested in joining the discussion. Community members and families may park along the curb in front of Carson High School and enter the building at the main entrance near the flagpole or park in the north parking lot and enter through the north foyer.
