Austin Robinson (left) of Carson City is presented with the 1884 Carson City-minted Morgan silver dollar by Friends of the NSM Vice Chair Dave Pierson.

During the recent Carson City Mint Coin Show, the Friends of the Nevada State Museum (FNSM) announced the winner of their annual coin raffle: Austin Robinson, a Carson City resident and employee of Click Bond Manufacturing.

Robinson won an uncirculated 1884 Morgan silver dollar, valued at approximately $350.

Robinson, who entered the raffle while visiting the museum with friends, expressed his excitement and said he plans to visit the museum and its historic Coin Press No. 1 more often.

The winning coin was generously donated by Northern Nevada Coin. Proceeds from the raffle are a significant source of funding for the FNSM and will directly support the Nevada State Museum’s archival and educational programs.

The FNSM extends its gratitude to Northern Nevada Coin for the donation and thanks everyone who purchased tickets. The Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Nevada State Museum’s mission through fundraising and educational initiatives.
