Here is the Carson City road report for the week of April 21-27, 2025. Closures and lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:

2nd Street between Carson Street and Curry Street will be closed to westbound traffic from April 8, 2024, to June 30, 2025, for construction.

Gentry Lane between Hudson Drive and Snyder Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

North Ormsby Boulevard between Newman Place and Washington Street will be closed to northbound traffic on Monday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Plaza Street between William Street and Washington Street will be closed to thru traffic from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:

Roop Street between Northridge Drive and Winnie Lane will be reduced to a single lane from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Elsewhere, US-50 lane reductions begin Monday for two-season paving along Tahoe route. Initial utility location work will begin April 21, with single lane closures Sundays at 8 p.m. through Fridays at noon on short sections of U.S. 50 between Spooner Summit (near the State Route 28 intersection) and the Nevada/California border at Stateline.

Then, beginning May 1, drivers will see lanes reduced on longer sections of the highway as full roadway repaving work begins.
