Carson City author Robert Drews will be the featured speaker at Monday’s Democratic luncheon. His novel, “Look for Something Good,” was published in 2023 by Vertu Publishing of Las Vegas. A retired journalist, he will talk about his six year journey to the world of fiction.

“Look for Something Good” tells the stories of two men who hit the reset button. When J.J. Werth is laid off by his company he finds himself at a crossroad. Likewise does his friend Father Thomas, a former Marine and unlikely priest wrestling with a ghost of the past. Separately, J.J. and Father Thomas set out for the unknown to seek their place in the world and wind up finding very much more.

The book is available at Carson City Senior Center gift shop, which is located at 911 Beverly Dr. It is also available in paperback and Kindle at amazon.com and paperback at barnesandnoble.com and bookshop.org.

This event is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Monday, February 10th, and can either be attended in person at the Seven Grille restaurant inside Max Casino, or online via Zoom.

The presentation will begin after all lunch orders have been taken, around 1:30 PM. Those wishing to be on distribution for luncheon Zoom links and videos should contact Rich Dunn at richdunn@aol.com.
