This week’s spotlight shines on Emily and Fluffy. These two are not just kittens; they’re a celebration of resilience and love.

At Catmandu we can seldom take kittens, but these babies were born to one of our cats in foster care.

Their mom Kizzie was abandoned to the streets and was just days away from giving birth during last year’s cold October. We got her into a foster home where she brought 5 beautiful babies into the world!

Now, almost 4 months old, these two are the last of the litter and waiting for their forever homes.

Emily is a Domestic Shorthair with a curious and playful personality. She’s an adventurer at heart, always ready to explore her surroundings. She will make you laugh out loud with her kitten antics.

Fluffy, her brother, is a Domestic Medium Hair with a luxurious, soft coat and the kind of laid-back charm that makes him a snuggle magnet. He’s the perfect balance to Emily’s high energy – together, they’re a dynamic duo. We would love for them to be adopted together; however, it is not mandatory.

Both kittens are available through our Foster-to-Adopt program.  With this program, they go home with you and come back for their last vaccines and spay/neuter surgery in about 3 weeks.

Once they are fully vaccinated and fixed, the adoption becomes final. If you’re ready for some kitten joy and cuddles, they’re ready to meet you! Emily and Fluffy are at a temporary foster home here in Carson but are open to weekend meet and greets by appointment.

These two sweeties are a testament to hope and love – raised with care from the Catmandu Community and now ready to bring their special spark to your life. Fill out an application and make an appointment to meet Emily and Fluffy today.

Help us write the next chapter in these kittens’ story. Who knows, they might just write a new chapter in yours, too!

We are open Friday – Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm at 1829 Brown Street.

Catmandu is a local, cage-free non-profit cat sanctuary and rescue. At Catmandu, we care for an average of 65 cats that would otherwise be roaming the streets of Carson City. Some cats are adoptable and waiting for forever homes. Others are sanctuary cats who are very skittish with strangers, semi-feral, or medically fragile felines; they will live most if not all of their remaining years at Catmandu. All of our cats are spayed/neutered and up to date on their shots. If you would like to volunteer and/or make a donation, please visit our website at: https://catmanducc.org.

We appreciate any help we receive from the community, so we can continue to care for Carson City’s orphaned, homeless, and abandoned kitties. Meow means thank you!
