As communities across Nevada welcome the New Year, Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Programs (RSVP), in partnership with AmeriCorps and Nevada Volunteers, is launching a Volunteer Incentive Program designed to encourage community members to begin the year by giving back through meaningful volunteer service.

The Volunteer Incentive Program recognizes and supports volunteers who provide essential services to seniors and adults with disabilities throughout rural Nevada. These services help neighbors remain independent, connected, and supported in their homes and communities.

Volunteer opportunities include transportation to medical appointments and essential errands, companionship to reduce isolation, respite support for caregivers, and other community-based services delivered through trusted local partners. To reduce barriers to service and recognize volunteer commitment, the program may offer incentives such as mileage support, gift cards, volunteer recognition, and other approved appreciation initiatives, depending on volunteer role and funding availability.

“The New Year is a time when people reflect on how they can make a positive difference,” said Molly Walt, CEO of Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Programs. “Volunteering through RSVP offers a meaningful opportunity to support seniors and adults with disabilities while strengthening the fabric of our rural communities. Our Volunteer Incentive Program helps remove barriers so more individuals can step forward and serve.”

Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Programs is currently recruiting volunteers throughout rural Nevada. Community members interested in starting the New Year with purpose are encouraged to contact their local RSVP office at (775) 687-4680 ext. 2 or info@nvrsvp.com to learn more about volunteer opportunities and program eligibility.
