Catmandu is an adoption-driven rescue, which means that in order to make room for new cats in need, our current residents must be adopted into loving homes.
We have some truly wonderful cats who have previously been featured as Cat of the Week and are still patiently waiting for their forever families.
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on a few of these deserving felines who are still waiting for their new people to come and get them.
All of our adoptable cats are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on core vaccines, vet checked, and microchipped.
Delilah and Blackie are five-year-old females who made the journey all the way from Idaho in search of a fresh start.
Delilah is a sweet short-haired white-and-black girl whose favorite place in the world is perched on your shoulder while soaking up affection. If you’re looking for a cat who loves attention, Delilah is ready to volunteer for the job.
Her best friend, Blackie, is a short-haired black beauty with a larger-than-life personality. She loves to talk, loves to eat, and absolutely loves receiving pets and attention.

Both girls enjoy playtime and have formed a close bond with one another. While they would love to be adopted together, they would likely also do well as only cats. Neither is particularly fond of other cats besides each other, and they have not been around dogs.
Mia is another five-year-old female waiting for her chance. This cross-eyed cutie is full of energy and curiosity. She wants to know what you’re doing, where you’re going, and whether she can help. Mia is affectionate, playful, and adventurous. She would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to share in her daily discoveries and adventures.

Then there’s Teddy, a handsome 5-year-old gray gentleman sporting a small white ascot on his chest. Teddy is friendly, laid-back, and always appreciative of pets and attention. He is also a dedicated foodie whose passions include wet food, treats, lounging, and napping. Teddy would do best as the only pet in the home. Dogs are an emphatic “no,” and while another cat might be possible, it would need to be a confident but non-aggressive feline companion.

Each of these cats has so much love to give and is hoping for a family to call their own. By adopting one of Catmandu’s long-term residents, you’ll not only gain a wonderful companion, you’ll also help create space for another endangered cat to find safety and a second chance through rescue.
If you would like to meet Delilah, Blackie, Mia, Teddy, or any of Catmandu’s other adoptable cats, please visit Catmanducc.org to complete a pre-adoption application and then plan to visit us this weekend. We are open Friday – Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm at 1829 Brown Street. Please come early if you wish to adopt.
Catmandu is a local non-profit, cage-free cat rescue, shelter and sanctuary. We receive no government assistance or funds from national organizations. We depend solely on the support of our community. If you would like to volunteer or donate, please visit our website at: https://www.catmanducc.org.
