The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division and participating Nevada law enforcement agencies are Joining Forces in a pedestrian safety campaign to remind pedestrians and drivers to be aware of each other and to share the road responsibly. The campaign begins on Sept. 5, and will continue through Sept. 22, 2026.
In 2025, 109 pedestrians lost their lives in pedestrian crashes on Nevada’s roadways. In a continued effort to keep our roadways safe, State Troopers will be issuing citations to pedestrians and motorists violating traffic safety laws.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol remains dedicated to bringing the number of fatalities on our roadways to zero through promoting safe pedestrian and motorist behavior.
