Carson City man arrested on $4.2 million warrant for child sex abuse crimes.
A 64-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Airport Road and Carmine Street for obstruction after arguing with deputies, refusing to sign a citation, and returning to the scene to keep fighting, according to the arrest report.
According to the reporting deputy, they were called to the intersection on a report of two-vehicle accident that was blocking traffic. Upon arrival, the deputy began establishing traffic control using cones and flares.
While setting up, a number of vehicles drove through the scene, “creating a dangerous situation for both drivers and myself,” the deputy wrote. After setting up the cone perimeter, the deputy began interviewing the drivers of the vehicles about the crash. They then became “alarmed by a large truck that disregarded the protective perimeter” and drove through the cone pattern, passing “very close” to the deputy and the drivers.
The deputy called out of the man driving the truck to stop, which he complied with. The deputy made contact with the man, who was “belligerent from the outset of our contact.”
The deputy said he informed the man he was stopped for driving through the cones and creating a very dangerous situation. The man then proceeded to argue and deny doing anything wrong, according to the deputy.
After issuing a citation, the man continued to argue and protest and refused to sign the citation, according to the report. The deputy told him they would mark the citation as “served,” to which the man then demanded to be able to write his own signature.
However, instead of writing his signature, he wrote “some numbers” that he was citing as a form of protest.
The deputy finished the citation process and directed the man to clear the scene.
However, about ten minutes later while the deputy was directing heavy traffic, the man suddenly appeared again, yelling and screaming at the deputy and demanding their name and badge number.
The deputy told the man both were on the citation, they wrote in the report, and told the man they were not going to argue with him about the citation.
The man continued to yell, and the deputy ordered him to leave again, stating they were now obstructing the deputy in their duty to protect the scene.
According to the deputy, the man disregarded these orders and walked back toward the accident scene, and began shouting toward other deputies on scene who were working the accident.
The deputy wrote at this point they were unable to safely direct traffic which was heavy due to another road closure nearby. The deputy said they once again ordered the man to leave, and if he did not he would be arrested.
According to the report, the man “remained belligerent” and continued to argue, at which point the deputy then took the man into custody for obstruction. While at the jail, the man “refused to answer basic biographical questions” during intake.
Other deputies took custody of the man’s vehicle and his dog. Animal control responded to care for the dog, and the man’s wife was “eventually notified,” who then responded and took possession of the truck.

Carson Yeaman (27) of Carson City, and Ashley Travis (33) of Minden were arrested just after midnight Thursday in the area of College Parkway and Research Way after Travis allegedly failed to make a full stop at a stop sign.
According to the arrest reports, deputies observed a vehicle driven by Travis leaving a casino parking lot just after midnight. The deputy got behind the vehicle and observed it fail to stop at the marked white line at College Parkway and Goni.
The deputy stopped the vehicle and made contact with Travis, and recognized the passenger as Yeaman from an interaction a few week prior, according to the report.
Travis told the deputy she made sure to stop at the marked line because they were behind her, and the deputy advised her “she did not.”
Travis provided the deputy with her ID, but Yeaman “became defensive and only provided his first name” according to the report. While speaking with the pair, the deputy noted multiple torch lighters near the middle console, which they identified with the consumption of narcotics.
Deputy K9 [Conan]* arrived on scene to perform a narcotics sniff, and the reporting deputy asked Travis and Yeaman to exit the vehicle. Travis at first refused, but then complied and consented to a search of her person, during which the deputy did not find any contraband.
*the arrest report named the handler as the deputy K9, but human deputies do not traditionally perform vehicle sniff tests, leading us to substitute Conan for our write up.
K9 [Conan] provided a positive alert on the vehicle and a search resulted in locating a black scale with white crystalline residue on top, small piece of foil with black burn marks, and two black pen tubes cut in half with white crystalline residue.
During this time, Yeaman began arguing and yelling at Ashley, and deputies detained him in handcuffs and placed him in the rear seat of the patrol vehicle.
Deputies tested the substances which resulted in a presumptive positive for methamphetamine.
Deputies spoke with Travis who said she “did not know anything about those items, and they were not hers,” according to the arrest report.
However, Travis later admitted to having contraband inside her bra, and handed over an empty hypodermic needle, a pipe and an empty baggie.
Deputies spoke to Yeaman, who said the scale was left in the car by a friend, and he uses it to weigh “diamonds” which he referred to as cannabis. He said the foil and tooter straws were also used to smoke the “diamonds,” according to the arrest report.
When Travis produced the paraphernalia items on her person to deputies, Yeaman began screaming and kicking the patrol door. He said he was going to slip the cuffs and “watch this shit.”
Another deputy spoke with Yeaman, and learned he possibly had narcotics concealed on his person. He had Yeaman step out of the vehicle, but while trying to recover the narcotics, Yeaman became “uncooperative,” and began pulling away from deputies. He then refused to go back into the vehicle, causing the reporting deputy to pull him into the vehicle by his shoulders from the opposite side.
Travis was taken to the jail without incident; however, Yeaman was not.
During transport, Yeaman began to kick and scream inside the vehicle, and said he had eaten a gram of fentanyl and could taste it. He began calling out in pain and stated “the bag must of broke.” Then he became quiet and stopped moving.
The deputy then transported Yeaman to Carson Tahoe Hospital, where Yeaman was observed in the backseat to be conscious and breathing. Inside the ER, Yeaman was uncooperative with staff, according to the deputy, who said he was yelling and screaming profanities, stating “I promise you, I will slice you motherfuckers” and “let’s go one on one bitch, I promise I’ll smoke you.” He told a nurse “mark my words, you’re an RN, you fucking lame, I’m going to slice your throat bitch, mark my words, I’ll be out tonight.”
Yeaman also had to be fitted with a spit mask, the report said, because he attempted to spin on deputies and staff. He said multiple times he could “taste the fentanyl” and “felt it coming up his throat,” and deputies were also concerned with being exposed to the fentanyl if he was successful in spitting on deputies.
Yeaman was medically cleared, and while putting him back in a patrol vehicle, the deputy observed a black cord sitting on the floor board and realized Yeaman had ripped the cord from the rear camera system, which was confirmed by camera footage.
Another deputy was transporting Yeaman to the jail with the reporting deputy following, when the transporting deputy said Yeaman had in fact slipped out of his handcuffs and was banging on the windows.
Deputies were forced to pull over and placed Yeaman back into handcuffs behind his back. The transporting deputy then advised he discovered Yeaman had ripped the cord out from his rear camera as well.
Bail for Carson Yeaman: $6,911
Bail for Ashley Travis: $4,637
