The Carson City Symphony Association will present a concert, “Spring Serenade,” on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church, 3680 N. Hwy. 395, south of Best Buy, Carson City. Admission is free, donations welcome,
Consort Canzona, an early music ensemble featuring soprano, alto, and tenor recorders and cello, will perform the first part of the program. They will play madrigals, Celtic tunes, and more. Not Quite Ready for Carnegie Hall Players (NQR), an adult intermediate string ensemble directed by Suzanne McGarraugh, will play classical and contemporary selections. The two groups will combine for the final piece.
Carson City Symphony Association’s 2025-26 concerts and educational activities are supported with public funding through Carson City, the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, by the Associated Chamber Music Players (ACMP), and private donations.
