Six months after breaking ground on a second fueling station and convenience stop in Carson City, Maverik held a grand opening celebration at its newest location on Highway 50 East at College Parkway Wednesday night.

The facility features two separate fueling islands, including one for diesel, as well as outdoor dining, a spacious convenience store and even a full-service Bonfire Grill cranking out hot food, pastries and refreshments.

Crowds of customers took advantage of free food and refreshments as well as prizes handed out Tuesday as part of the grand opening event.

Specially-equipped four-wheel drive vehicles, including “Truck Norris,” were also on display in the parking lot.
