A 32-year-old woman was arrested Sunday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor child abuse/neglect (simple assault), misdemeanor battery (simple assault) and disorderly conduct, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Deputies were called to a Lone Mountain Drive address early Sunday morning for a dispute. Officers arrived and investigated, learning the suspect was highly intoxicated and was uncooperative. She was placed in a patrol vehicle while deputies investigated.

The report notes this was the fourth time deputies were called to the location for the woman’s unruly behavior.

The reporting party (RP) stated they wished to file a complaint for disturbing the peace due to the woman’s ongoing loud and obnoxious behavior, which was keeping him and his daughter from sleeping, according to the report.

Deputies conducted interviews, including a man who stated the suspect is his father’s girlfriend and that she came home intoxicated and attempted several times to force her way into his room.

He said the suspect was asked to leave or go to sleep, which she refused. The victim stated the woman became increasingly agitated and eventually started shoving and hitting him in the chest several times, the report states. He stated he wished to press charges for battery and filled out a witness statement. The report notes there wasn’t any redness or bruising on the man’s chest or arms.

Deputies also interviewed a minor (age not in the report) involved who stated he only stays at his father’s house part time and said the suspect came home from a fast food restaurant and started yelling at everyone for no apparent reason and then began breaking stuff around the house.

He told deputies the woman then pushed him, using both of her hands and then hit him in the arm and shoulder area. Deputies noted there was no redness or bruising on the minor’s arms or shoulders. He stated he wished to press charges for battery, according to the report.

The report notes the minor’s father was contacted and informed of the situation. He later signed the citizen’s arrest form on behalf of his son, the report states.

Following the investigation, the woman was arrested for suspicion of gross misdemeanor child abuse neglect/endangerment (simple assault), battery (simple assault) and disturbing the peace.

The woman was booked at 3:25 a.m. and taken to jail where she was highly uncooperative and belligerent with jail staff and during the intake process. Total listed bail amount: $4,016.

– A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery and a Department of Alternative Sentencing violation.

According to the booking report, deputies were called at 11:50 a.m. to the 1800 block of North Edmonds for a domestic dispute. Dispatch stated the caller was in a verbal altercation, had a knife but was then disarmed and pushed outside the residence.

Deputies arrived and observed the suspect sitting on the stairs of the apartment. He was visibly intoxicated, with thick slurred speech, red watery eyes and a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. He consented to a search of his person. No weapons or contraband were located on his person. He consented to a preliminary breath test with a result of .290. He is currently on supervision with DAS, which was advised of the situation and told deputies to place him on hold for violation, the report states.

The suspect was interviewed and stated that a knife was thrown at him. He also stated his ear bitten by his daughter but did not provide a name. He stated he did not know how his daughter bit his ear and said that they don’t like him or the rules laid down. He stated he was not going to incriminate his family and would not elaborate.

Deputies interviewed the other family members and learned the suspect was arguing in the residence, and that he grabbed and shoved the victim against the wall. Others were inside the residence and said there was a knife that was taken away from the suspect during the altercation and that they had pushed the man outside of the residence to help mitigate the situation, according to the report.

The suspect was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery and DAS violation. Bail: $3,000 for the battery offense and $1,000 cash for the DAS violation.

Carson City deputies make DUI arrests

— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report, deputies responded at 3:06 p.m. for a man who was inside a running vehicle asleep behind the wheel in a parking lot of a convenience store in the 1100 block of North Carson Street.

Deputies arrived and knocked on the window. The man woke up and rolled down the window, where officers could smell a strong odor of alcohol inside the vehicle. Deputies note the vehicle engine was on, the man’s foot was on the brake and the vehicle was in park. The man stated he was in the parking lot for the last hour sleeping in his car. He stated he had a few drinks earlier in the day and that it had been a few hours since his last drink.

Convenience store staff said they saw the man had been parked in parking lot for around 30 minutes and that he was unresponsive when they attempted to wake him up. When he wouldn’t wake up they decide to call for help, the report states.

Deputies had the man step outside the vehicle. The man stated he had been drinking at a bar earlier that day and had started around noon. He stated he had three beers at around 2 p.m. before driving to get cigarettes.

Deputies administered standardized field sobriety tests on the man, who showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test of .232 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. The man consented to an evidentiary blood draw. Bail: $1,137.

— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for suspicion of DUI.
According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched at 9:50 p.m. to the 400 block of South Carson Street regarding a non-injury crash. Dispatch advised two vehicles had collided and that one driver was possibly intoxicated.

Deputies arrived and made contact with the drivers. Deputies spoke with the victim driver who said they were traveling westbound on 5th Street when the suspect driver entered the intersection from Curry Street, making contact with the front end of their vehicle.

Deputies spoke with the suspect driver and asked for their driver’s license, registration and insurance. A deputy noticed the man had a knife hanging off his sweatpants and asked the man to remove the knife from his person for officer safety. The man told the deputy yes. As the officer stood behind the man to remove the knife, they could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person.

The deputy asked if he had been drinking. The man said he had consumed one beer after dinner. The deputy asked if he would be willing to submit to standardized field sobriety tests. The man said yes and showed clues of impairment on the tests. He was asked if he would be willing to take a preliminary breath test. The man said he would rather not, the report states. At this time, deputies arrested him for suspicion of DUI.

Deputies read the man the request for evidentiary testing. The man ultimately told the deputy he would submit to a breath test. At jail he provided breath test results of .133 and .128. Bail: $1,137.

— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for misdemeanor probation violation and driving with a revoked license for DUI second offense. The revocation period by DMV was from August 28, 2025 to Feb. 23, 2026. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— A 30-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Sunday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Dec. 27, 2024 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,500 cash.

Man booked for attempting to kick deputies after running from them

— A 43-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of breach of peace and obstructing/resisting. According to the booking report, deputies were called to the 1900 block of North Carson Street for a man banging on windows and yelling at people. Deputies arrived and observed the suspect to be highly intoxicated, with red and watery eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person.

Deputies, who had been out with the man previously, asked the man to come forward toward them. Instead, the man walked away and placed his hands on a vehicle occupied by two people and began yelling at the occupants. A deputy asked the man to stop so officers could talk. The man then took off running.

The man ran to a planter box and took a seat. As officers approached the man, he took off running again, this time toward another vehicle. Two females were exiting their vehicle when the man ran toward them. A deputy was able to grab the man as he reached for one of the females, the report states.

Deputies attempted to take the man into custody. The man tried pulling away and running. Officers took him to the ground and arrested him. The man kept trying to kick deputies. He was then placed into custody and taken to the hospital to be medically cleared before being taken to jail. Bail: $1,137.

— A 53-year-old Carson City woman was booked Saturday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Nov. 12, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $6,000 cash.

— A 36-year-old Sparks woman was booked Saturday for two misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Dec. 4, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $6,000 cash.

— A 57-year-old Reno man was booked into jail Saturday for a misdemeanor warrant alleging violation of conditions out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.

— A 23-year-old Gardnerville man as booked Saturday into Carson City Jail for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Oct. 8, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $5,000 cash.

— A 45-year-old Carson City man was booked Saturday into Carson City Jail for two outside agency warrant issued out of Reno Municipal Court on April 23, 2025. Bail: $3,146 cash.
