The Nevada Department of Corrections reported a stabbing death at Ely State Prison that happened Friday, Dec. 9, 2022.
Tyrek Settles, 21, was stabbed around 12:30 p.m. Friday. The victim, Settles, was pronounced dead around 1:19 p.m. at William Bee Ririe Hospital in Ely.
The investigation remains active and no other details are available at this time, according to NDOC.
