A 66-year-old Minden man was arrested Thursday in the 1900 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, a deputy was dispatched at around 3 p.m. to a convenience store for a possible DUI driver involved in a vehicle crash.

The suspect allegedly crashed his vehicle into another vehicle in front of a business at the Crossroads Center. The victim asked the driver to stop and shut off the truck. The victim could smell alcohol coming from the driver and the suspect then left the scene.

A deputy made contact with the driver and noticed a strong odor of alcohol. The officer asked the man if he had been drinking. The man told the officer he had been drinking since that morning. The suspect agreed to take standardized field sobriety tests, showing signs of intoxication.

He submitted to a preliminary breath test with a result of .348, according to the arrest report. He was arrested and taken to hospital where he consented to evidentiary blood tests and then taken to jail. Bail: $1,137.

— A 55-year-old Virginia City man was arrested Thursday, 4:06 p.m. in the 4800 block of Hytech Drive for a misdemeanor warrant alleging battery that was issued Nov. 17, 2016 out of East Fork Township Court. Bail: $2,500.

— A 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 9:21 a.m. in the 1600 block of Medical Parkway for a misdemeanor warrant for property destruction issued Nov. 9, 2016 through Carson City Municipal Court. Bail: $250.
