
A 31-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office report.
At 8:15 p.m. deputies responded to the 2000 block of Lone Mountain Drive for a report of a domestic battery in progress. Dispatch advised a female in the residence was throwing things and had pushed the reporting party and that there were three people in the residence.
Deputies investigating learned the original argument was verbal between the 31-year-old woman and her mother and that the woman began destroying comic books and collectibles. The mother began videotaping the incident and then exited the apartment to call 911, the report states.
As she exited, the suspect ripped the phone out of her hands and deleted the video, the report states. The parent stated the woman shoved her with both of her hands open and she fell backward into the bedroom door.
Deputies spoke with the suspect who collaborated what both parents said and stated during the argument that she became angry at her mother who was recording her. She stated she threw the phone and began arguing, then shoved her mother and then returned to her room.
The woman was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.

— A 47-year-old Stateline man was arrested Tuesday for a misdemeanor violation of conditions warrant issued Oct. 11, 2022 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.
— A 43-year-old man was arrested Tuesday, 2 p.m. in the area of Second and South Curry streets for misdemeanor suspicion of obstructing and drunken pedestrian.
According to the booking report, a deputy was flagged down by citizens at the intersection of North Curry and Telegraph. They reported a male in the area was causing a disturbance and yelling profanities. A citizen showed the deputy a photo of the man on their cell phone. The suspect was last seen walking southbound on North Curry.
The deputy located the man who began walking away and then began running. The man was seen crossing the street at the intersection of West Second and South Curry and was detained. The deputy could smell an overwhelming odor of alcohol coming from his person, the report states. The man was asked his name and he refused to answer and he refused a preliminary breath test. He was arrested for obstructing and being an intoxicated pedestrian. Later he provided a breath test of .250. Bail: $484.
