Carson City Fire Department is assisting Storey County Fire Protection District for a structure fire early Monday evening in the 1200 block of American Flats Road, around 1.5 miles south of Gold Hill and Virginia City.
Details of the fire are unclear. However, mutual aid was requested at 5:22 p.m. from nearby fire departments including Carson City Fire Department, which sent a battalion chief, a truck and an engine.
