Carson City Moose Lodge No. 2709 held its third annual Chili Cook-off fundraiser at Kingsnake Brewing in Dayton on Saturday, Nov. 18. Eight chili chefs were in competition for the top honors that also involved a raffle for various prizes including bottles of wine, gourmet coffee, lapidary necklaces and gift cards.

Sixty “tasters” voted on the samplings, with Sam Santillo coming out on top. Nationwide, Moose Lodges celebrate serving those within their local communities and contribute between $75 to $100 million worth of community service annually. Next up is the Moose Dogs Fundraiser early next year.
