UPDATE 7PM: According to NHP, there were two crashes that happened this evening in the area of I-580 and Fairview, northbound lane just after 5:30 p.m. Both crashes were non-injury, however, northbound I-580 was closed briefly. It was re-opened at around 7 p.m. Meanwhile, CCSO reports separate crashes that happened later, just after 6 p.m. One in the 4300 block of South Carson and the other, off of Clearview. Both crashes were non-injury but did affected traffic. The cause of all the crashes are under investigation.

UPDATE: There are two additional reported crashes that came in just after 6 p.m. One that happened in the 4300 block of South Carson Street, and the other in the 100 block of Clearview Drive. The South Carson Street crash was a reported as hit and run. No serious injuries were reported. The other vehicle crash was reported a few minutes later on Clearview. It is unknown at this time if the Clearview incident is related to the South Carson crash.
Sheriff’s deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol are still on scene of the vehicle crash reported just after 5:30 p.m. on I-580 near Farview. NHP says the northbound lanes are shut down at Fairview for multiple crashes with an unknown time of reopening. NHP advises motorists to use alternate routes.

Carson City emergency crews were called to a vehicle crash early Thursday evening with reported injuries in the northbound lane of I-580 near Fairview.

The call came into dispatch at 5:33 p.m. The crash is reported in the area of the Snyder Bridge and Fairview in the northbound lane. The crash involves at least three vehicles. One vehicle is on its side.

Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputies and Carson City Fire Department were responding. At this time, non-life threatening injuries are reported. One person was evaluated for medical transport.

The crash has both northbound lanes blocked. Motorists can expect delays.
