The Nevada State Police shared these photos Wednesday afternoon of conditions on Mt. Rose Highway, showing snow was falling — and sticking! — along the mountain pass.

Now, as a profession, journalists tend to be a supernatural bunch; so I won’t risk jinxing it with any hopes or predictions. All I’ll say is, we’ve gotten a decent amount of precipitation thus far for the season, which we tend to see more in “good” winters than “bad” (aka, dry) winters.

I won’t dare to add anymore — just keep those chains nearby, and always be sure to check conditions before heading up the hill!
