
Carson City Dispatch, which alerts the Carson City Fire Department and other agencies of local emergencies, evacuated its office briefly Tuesday morning after employees observed a light haze in the building.
At around 11:08 a.m. dispatch reported to Carson City Fire Department of a light smokey haze. As dispatch prepared to evacuate, emergency 911 dispatch phone operations were switched to Douglas County. Carson City Dispatch has since returned.
A Carson City Fire Department battalion chief and firefighters on scene reported a light haze, and searched for the origin, checking the HVAC system and generators. Carson City Building and Maintenance was also called to investigate.
