You could call Dustin Bass an over-achiever, but that wouldn’t be saying enough. Bass holds two Bachelor Degrees, a Masters in Nursing and is pursuing a Doctorate degree at Yale in health care policy, innovation, and system leadership. All this while working as the Assistant Vice President of Patient Care at a major hospital in North Carolina, at only 34 years old.

His success has been hard earned, having overcome a traumatic childhood. Hear his story this Sunday evening, October 10th on the My Soul University Radio Hour, airing at 5:00 P.M on 95.1 FM and streaming at www.knvc.org.

Hosted by Kitty McKay and moderated by Ken Farley, the show tackles life’s messy issues and helps listeners find their purpose, inner strength and a community they never knew they had.

Bass triumphed over a traumatic childhood, which included the murder of his mother when he was just 12-years-old, his subsequent grief therapy, and being railroaded into a “pray away the gay” program.

“Dustin has a mighty spirit,” said host McKay. “He has reached an incredible level of success at a really young age, through grit and grace. What will be especially moving to listeners is that despite being slammed by huge challenges as a kid, he has transformed his struggle into a fierce dedication to evolving himself and improving the lives of patients and colleagues throughout health care.”
